Plymouth, MA

LEI has completed the project for the Town of Plymouth which included the transformation of approximately 42 acres of a retired cranberry bog into a freshwater wetland system. The project consisted of the construction of approximately 3,000 LF of a stream while working on thick peat layers. Removal of (2) earthen dams and restoration of 1,700 LF of an existing brook downstream of the former cranberry bog. Work also included dewatering of two ponds, water diversion / bypass, earth excavation, material management / backfill, extensive landscaping and site-specific wetlands planting, installation of pedestrian boardwalks, installation of logs, rootwads, tree snags and site restoration (including microtopography) all while preserving natural, cultural, and historical resources.
