CHILDS RIVER DAM REMOVAL AND RESTORATION 

LEI has completed a project for the Falmouth Rod & Gun Club which includes the transformation of two former cranberry bogs along with an impoundment into a newly designed wetland system. The project consists of the construction of approximately 4,000 LF of a new stream, removal of a historical earthen dam, pond construction, water diversion / bypass, material management / disposal, extensive landscaping and site-specific wetlands planting, installation of logs, rootwads, tree snags and site restoration (including microtopography) all while preserving natural, cultural, and historical resources in line with in-water work time of year restrictions to protect fish.
